What is the Aura Score?
The Aura Score is GlowUp’s headline face analysis number, from 0 to 100. It is a rollup of five scored dimensions — skin quality, glow potential, contour, facial structure, and symmetry — so you can see what is already working and what to improve. The app also puts a word next to it: Excellent, Radiant, Glowing, Balanced, or Building.
How many things does GlowUp actually score?
Six, counting the overall Aura Score itself: Aura Score, Skin Quality, Glow Potential, Contour, Facial Structure, and Symmetry. Every scan returns all six, plus a short summary, your strengths, and the areas worth working on ranked by priority.
Is GlowUp a looksmaxing app?
GlowUp is built for people who want honest face feedback and a plan — not just a viral rating. Scan, read the breakdown, track routines, and rescan over time to see real progress.
How does the AI face scan work?
Take or upload a clear, eye-level selfie in even light. GlowUp maps facial structure, evaluates symmetry and contour, and scores skin quality. Results include strengths, focus areas, and a personalized routine of five to eight steps split across morning and evening.
What happens to my photos?
Your photos are never stored, shared, or used for AI training, and they are deleted right after your results are created. They are processed only to produce your analysis.
Can I track progress over time?
Yes. Save scans, compare before and after, build a daily AM and PM routine, and watch score trends on a chart and a scan timeline. Streaks and history make glow-ups measurable instead of guesswork.
What is the product ingredient scanner?
Scan a skincare product barcode and GlowUp rates every ingredient against your skin profile as Safe, Caution, or Avoid, then gives the product an overall verdict — good for you, use with care, or skip it.
What does the AI Skin Coach do?
The Skin Coach is a chat that already knows your latest scan. Ask it to explain your scores, suggest an evening routine, or sanity-check a product, and the answers are built on your results rather than generic advice.
Is GlowUp free to download?
Yes. Download free on iOS and Android and take a scan. Unlimited scans, the ingredient scanner, and the AI Skin Coach are part of GlowUp Pro, which you can subscribe to weekly or annually in the app.
